10/15 Weekly Writing

This week was different from other weeks as our classes consisted of preparing for our presentations on our blogs. I chose to write about love letters during World War II for this letter writing blog project.

I have yet to present it, but I will present it in class tomorrow in the style of Pecha Kucha, which is where the slides transition on their own, for 20 seconds each.

My blog is about love letters that were written to and from soldiers during World War 2, and how the diction used in the letters offered a form of intimacy for the lonely soldiers and their loved ones.

When I listened to my classmates presentations on Thursday, it was very interesting to learn about the very many experiences people had during the time of world war 2, and how letter writing played into these experiences. It is interesting to me how these letters are something tangible for future generations to be able to learn about personal experiences people had.
